Day 1:
Arriving at Yangon International Airport, you’ll be welcomed and driven to your hotel, with time to settle in and relax before a guided tour of the city’s cultural and historic highlights, including the glittering Swedagon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda, and imbibe the ambience of old Rangoon in the colonial area around Mahabandoola Park.
Day 2:
Following breakfast, you’ll travel to the western outskirts of the city, at the confluence of the Pun Hlaing and Yangon Rivers, for a day’s golfing at the superb Gary Player designed championship course at Pun Hlaing Golf Estate.
Day 3:
Today, you’ll catch the flight north to Nyang U, on the banks of the Ayeyarwady River, where you’ll have an exploration of the prominent features among the myriads of magnificent ancient structures scattered everywhere across the atmospheric Plain of Bagan, the remains of what was once one of the world’s greatest cities. Later, you’ll enjoy a sunset cruise upon Myanmar’s iconic river.
Day 4:
Today, after an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over the fascinating ancient city, you’ll have an atmospheric day’s golf at Bagan Golf Resort, set artfully among serene 11th century temples, pagodas and stupas, providing interesting dimensional enhancement to your circuit of this delightful 7,417 yard, 18 hole, course.
Day 5:
Today, you’ll fly to Mandalay, where you’ll be met for a guided tour of three of Myanmar’s post Bagan era capital cities, delightfully scenic Sagaing, earthquake damaged Inwa (Ava) and Amarapura, now absorbed into Mandalay and the site of the iconic Bein U Teak Bridge.
Day 6:
Today, you’ll travel across the Ayeyarwady River to Mingun to visit the famous unfinished pagoda, once intended to be the world’s largest, and see the massive 90 ton cast bell created for the project in 1808. Later you’ll return to Mandalay to visit its major places of interest including the Royal Palace, Shwe Nandaw Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda.
Day 7:
