Vietnam Colonial Luxury and Heritage 12 Days

Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and driven to your luxury hotel, with time to settle in before a performance of traditional water puppetry and your welcome dinner at a restored French colonial building.

Day 2:
A whole day guided tour of Vietnam’s capital explores all the culturally significant, historic and visual features of this thousand year city.

Day 3:
In the morning, you’ll visit Hanoi’s Fine Arts Museum, to discover the legacy of Vietnamese artistic endeavour, complemented by a visit to a music studio to discover the rare and unique instruments developed through centuries of Vietnam’s musical exploration. After lunch, you’ll visit Bat Trang craft village to enjoy the wealth of its traditional and contemporary ceramic creativity.

Day 4:
Your time will be free until we pick you up for your noon flight to Hue, once briefly the Capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty of Emperors, with a tour of the Imperial Citadel and remains of the Royal Palace, staying overnight at the luxury La Residence hotel, its elegant art deco design once the residence of the French Governor in colonial times.

Day 5:
A short cruise up the Perfume River brings you to Thien Mu Pagoda, Vietnam’s tallest religious structure, followed by a visit to the royal tombs of Emperors Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. Later, you’ll return to Hue, visiting one of its iconic Garden Houses. In the evening, you’ll return to another of the famous Garden Houses to dine in its unique ambience.

Day 6:
Your time will be free until your driver takes you to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll be met and driven to your luxury city centre hotel.

Day 7:

A free day at leisure in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9:
Your morning will be free, followed by lunch at an exclusive colonial restaurant. In the afternoon, you’ll fly to Dalat and your stay at the Sofitel Dalat Palace Hotel

Day 10:
In the morning, a cable car will lift you into the pleasant highland air of Truc Lam Pagoda and the flower garden, overlooking the tranquillity of Tuyen Lam Lake. Returning to Dalat, an afternoon visit to former Emperor Bao Dai’s Summer Palace and the understated reserve of its art deco lines is highly contrasted by the mind-bending futuristic architecture of artist Dang Viet Nga, a stunningly interesting concoction of architectural ideas, popularly, if a little unfairly, known as the ‘Crazy House’.

Day 11:
In the morning a visit to the dragon embellished Linh Phuoc Pagoda is followed by lunch and your flight back to Ho Chi Minh City and your hotel.

Day 12:
