Cycling South Thailand 11 Days

TOUR PROGRAMME

Day 1:
On arrival in Bangkok, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. After a briefing and bicycle fitting, take a Bangkok by Night cycling tour across Rama VIII Bridge and past the Temple of Dawn, Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Throne Hall and King Rama V Monument.

Alternative: City Tour, f or those arriving early in Bangkok
Board an express river boat to the Grand Palace to see the Emerald Buddha Temple and Wat Pho, and tour Bangkok’s canals by long tail boat before returning to your hotel to join your evening cycling excursion.
Day 2:
Drive 2 hours southwest into Petchaburi Province, and ride about 40 km through rural Thailand’s paddy fields and along the charming coast into the beach town of Cha Am.

Day 3:
After the drive to Hua Hin, get back on two wheels to explore quiet back roads, passing pineapple fields and fishing villages along the coast to reach Sam Roi Yot.
Day 4:
Today, cycle amidst the dramatic limestone formations of Sam Roi Yot National Park, boat to a hidden cove, explore a cave, walk through a mangrove forest, hike to a hilltop viewpoint for a panoramic view, and enjoy a fine beach.

AlternativeKhao Deang River 
You can also arrange a long tail boat trip on the Khao Deang River, enjoying the park’s natural splendour from the water.

Day 5:
Continue driving southward, stopping for several short rides off the highway along stunning and unspoiled beaches, to reach beachfront accommodation in Chumphon.

Day 6:
Drive to Surat Thani and then cycle through the beautiful mountain views of Khao Sok National Park.

Alternative: Khao Sok National Park activities
In the park you can do a short jungle hike to a waterfall, or take an elephant ride to enjoy the area’s natural beauty.
Day 7:
Transfer to Phang Nga and catch a boat to Koh Yao Noi Island, ride quiet roads and small trails through the jungle and rubber plantations around the island.

Day 8:
Take a short boat ride to Koh Yao Yai Island, spend the day exploring the flat tracks and dirt roads around the island, enjoying lunch along the way before returning to Koh Yao Noi.
Day 9:
Free day to spend as you wish, exploring further or simply relaxing on the island.

Day 10:
After breakfast, you’ll be free until time for your boat and car transfer to the airport to catch you flight to Bangkok for one final night in the city.
Day 11:
Free time until your transfer to the airport to board your departing international flight.
