Bird Watching in Thailand 12 Days

Day 1:
On arrival in Bangkok, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 2:
Drive southwest from the city to Kaeng Kracharn National Park and spend most of the day bird watching in a prime riverside area. Thailand’s largest park and arguably its best bird watching area, this park provides habitat for a wide range of species such as Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Grey Peacock-Pheasant, Blue Pitta, Great Slaty Woodpecker, and numerous Hornbills and Broadbills.
Day 3:
Today drive toward the park’s Phanern Thung Summit, looking for the elusive Ratchet-tailed Treepie.
Day 4:
Spend today near Sam Yot Checkpoint, and later in the afternoon transfer to the airport and fly to Chiang Mai, where you’ll be met and chauffeured to your hotel.
Day 5:
Head from Chiang Mai to Doi Chiang Dow National Park, looking for Black-tailed Crake, Giant Nuthatch and others; drive to Doi Ang Khang National Park for the night.
Day 6:
In the rugged Doi Ang Khang National Park, keep a sharp eye out for Hume’s Pheasant, Rufous-winged Buzzard and Mountain Bamboo Partridge, among others.
Day 7:
Spend most of the day exploring Doi Ang Khang further, and in the evening return to Chiang Mai and check in to your riverside resort.
Day 8:
Spend these days in Doi Luang or Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park, territory of Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Golden Bush Robin, Green Cochoa and many others.
Day 9:
Spend these days in Doi Luang or Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park, territory of Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Golden Bush Robin, Green Cochoa and many others.
Day 10:
In two days around Chiang Sean Lake you should be able to see Spot-billed Duck, Northern Pintail, Bear’s Pochard, Tuft Duck and other water birds. Transfer to Chiang Rai Airport at the end of Day 11, fly to Bangkok and check in at your hotel.
Day 11:
In two days around Chiang Sean Lake you should be able to see Spot-billed Duck, Northern Pintail, Bear’s Pochard, Tuft Duck and other water birds. Transfer to Chiang Rai Airport at the end of Day 11, fly to Bangkok and check in at your hotel.
Day 12:
After breakfast, you’ll be free until your car arrives for transfer to the airport to board your departing international flight
