Day 1:
Arrival at Beijing Airport: chauffeured transfer to your hotel.
Day 2:
Explore Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, then go to the grassroots with a tour of Beijing’s hutong neighbourhoods.
Day 3:
View the incredible heritage site of China’s Great Wall at Mutianyu, then try out some kite flying at the Temple of Heaven before enjoying a Peking Duck dinner.
Day 4:
Splash out at China’s best indoor water park inside what was the Beijing Olympics Aquatics Centre, and test your noodle-making skills before flying to Chengdu.
Day 5:
Explore the temples and old streets of Chengdu and sit back in a traditional teahouse to enjoy a Sichuan Opera.
Day 6:
Spend most of the day getting some up close and personal time with the Giant Pandas, then heat things up with some of the local specialty dish, Sichuan hotpot.
Day 7:
Take some time to relax, and then fly to Xi'an.
Day 8:
Wander the ranks of the incredible army of Terracotta Warriors and take in the Big Wild Good Pagoda before joining a fun dumpling-making class.
Day 9:
Pedal your way around the massive Xi'an City Wall, try some traditional food for lunch and, after a break, fly to Guilin.
Day 10:
View the rugged karst formations in the mountains and caves around Guilin.
Day 11:
Take the Li River Cruise through incredible scenery from Guilin to Yangshuo, then join a noon cooking class and have time to explore Yangshuo.
Day 12:
Explore Yangshuo further, by kayak on the river, by bicycle, electric scooter or golf cart, and after lunch back in town, fly to Shanghai.
Day 13:
Start out sky-high at a 474m viewing platform, tour Yu Garden and the City God Temple, stroll the Bund and take in one of Shanghai’s famous acrobatics shows.
Day 14:
Spend a day in the life of a local family for a genuine experience in Shanghai culture, food and language.
Day 15:
Free time until your guide and driver arrive to transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
