Cambodia Heritage and Adventure 10 days

Day 1:
Arriving at Siem Reap, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the magnificent Angkor Wat, the pinnacle of achievement of the ancient Khmer civilisation. As dusk falls, a walk to the hilltop Phnom Bakheng provide a superb sunset view of Angkor Wat and its superb setting.
Day 2:
Today, you’ll explore the other major features of Angkor, including Angkor Thom and the Bayon, with its iconic stone faces, Baphoun Temple, and the evocative Ta Phrom, its characteristic root-strangled form an unforgettable feature of the film ‘Tomb Raider’.
Day 3:
In the morning, you’ll board a boat, casting ripples across the vast Tonle Sap Lake and up the Sangker River to visit Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary in the capable hands of an experienced ornithologist to help you identify its many water birds in their natural habitat. In the late afternoon, the return journey will visit the Chong Kneas floating village.
Day 4:
In the morning, you’ll be taken to the airport for your flight to Phnom Penh, where you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. After lunch, you’ll visit the National Museum and Silver Pagoda, and enjoy a sunset cruise of the Chaktomuk River.
Day 5:
Today, you’ll travel through the rainforest of the Cardamom Mountains to Chi Phat, on the island of Koh Kong and your homestay. In the afternoon you’ll take a motorbike taxi to the Reforestation Project Nursery, where you can learn about the project and perhaps plant a tree.
Day 6:
After breakfast, you’ll ride a mountain bike 18 km to O’Ampov Campsite, visiting the O’Spott and Teuk Vet and waterfalls along the way. In the afternoon, you’ll have a trek to visit a post-Angkorian burial jar site.
Day 7:
This morning, you’ll bike 23 km, via the O’Peam Krovanh River to O’Malu Campsite. After your journey, you’ll be able to swim and relax at the O’Malu waterfall.
Day 8:
Today, a short 3.5 km ride will bring you to O’Kay, where you’ll trek to Veal Ta Prak and its wildlife drinking pond and onward to Antea Prang Campsite, for lunch, before continuing to your night stop at Damnak Kos Birdwatching Campsite.
Day 9:
In the morning, you’ll a combined motor and rowboat bird-watching trip along the Stoeng Prat River, before heading back to Chi Phat in the afternoon.

Day 10:
After breakfast, you’ll head back to Phnom Penh for your onward or departure flight.
