After breakfast, you’ll pick up your bike for a gentle 4 hour cycle exploration of the beautiful hidden places of Hanoi, cycling along a quiet dyke of the Red River, visiting one of Hanoi’s oldest villages, and meandering around West Lake. After lunch, you’ll cycle through the quieter colonial streets before returning to your hotel. In the evening, your driver will take you to the railway station for the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai.

Arriving early at Lao Cai, you’ll be met and driven into the mountains to the picturesque town of Sapa, with breakfast before a 2 hour cycle ride through the sculpted rice fields and ethnic villages.

Today you’ll cycle over Heaven’s Gate, Vietnam’s highest pass, and down through the views and villages below, and visiting a Dao minority community, before the drive to Than Uyen. (45-75 km cycling).

Today you’ll cycle through the hills, with a 15km uphill followed by the decent into the scenic Muong Kim valley, cycling a further 40 km to the town of Van Ban. After your excertions, you’ll be driven to Lao Cai and your day hotel to freshen up before catching the return sleeper to Hanoi.

Arriving at Hanoi railway station, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel.
