Vietnam Nature Trails 12 Days

Day 1:
Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel, with time to settle in and relax before your welcome dinner and an evening performance of traditional water puppetry.

Day 2:
Today, you’ll be driven due north into the mountain scenery around Ba Be Lake, with time for a sunset stroll in the forest air before dinner and your stay at a guesthouse in Ba Be National Park.

Day 3:
After breakfast, you’ll journey downriver by motor launch through Puong Cave and on to Ba Be Lake enjoying its natural features and birdlife. In the late afternoon, you’ll visit a Tay minority village for dinner, spending the night in a stilt house.

Day 4:
Today, you’ll be driven southeast to the coast at Hai Phong City and check-in to your hotel.

Day 5:
In the morning, you’ll board your vessel for a cruise into the spectacular Ha Long Bay, travelling through its majestic forms and visiting its water level caves, before docking at Cat Ba Island and your overnight stay in Cat Ba town.

Day 6:
After breakfast, you’ll have a 6 hour hike through the undulating forest terrain of the National Park, finally arriving at a bay at the south end of the island, where you’ll take the boat ride back to Cat Ba Town.

Day 7:
After a free morning on the beach, you’ll take the hydrofoil to Haiphong on the mainland, where you’ll be met and driven to visit Van Long Nature Reserve by Sampan, before travelling on to Cuc Phuong National Park, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 8:
Today, you’ll be able to enjoy the forest, wandering among its thousand year old trees, and visiting the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre.

Day 9:
In the morning, you’ll be driven to Tam Coc, for a row boat meander through the rice paddies and dramatic cliffs. After lunch, you’ll travel on to Hanoi and your hotel.

Day 10:
This morning, your driver will take you to the airport for your noon flight to Hue, in central Vietnam. On arrival, you’ll be met and driven to Bach Ma National Park, where you’ll spend the night in a mountainside guesthouse.

Day 11:
After an early breakfast, a 500m walk up to the summit will take in the sunrise views, before walking through the evergreen forest along the Rhododendron, Five-Lakes Cascade, and Pheasant trails, visiting the numerous waterfalls and cascades.

Day 12:
Today, you’ll be taken to the airport at Hue for your flight to Hanoi and your onward connection or departure flight.

Boat cruises as programme. For Ha Long Bay, you’ll cruise on a high quality wooden boat with good facilities and an experienced crew. The boat will be fully licensed and comply with current safety regulations.
