Vietnam Soft Adventure Tour 12 Days

TOUR PROGRAMME

Day 1:
Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel, with time to settle in and relax before a cyclo ride of the colonial and Old Quarters. In the afternoon, you’ll have a performance of traditional water puppetry followed by a welcome dinner.
Day 2:
In the morning, you’ll be driven to the craft village of Bat Trang, for a cycle around its alleyways and visiting workshops, watching the daily lives of the villagers unfold around you. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Tam Dao village to enjoy its traditional Quan Ho music, before returning to your hotel. In the evening, you’ll be driven to Hanoi Railway Station for the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai.
Day 3:
Arriving early, you’ll be met and driven up into the mountains to the picturesque town of Sapa, before travelling on to Thanh Kim to begin the day’s trek. Walking among the swirling rice terraces, amid the splendid highland views, you’ll come to Thanh Phu village and lunch in a local house. In the afternoon the trail takes you to the Red Dao minority village of Sin Chai, where you’ll enjoy the hospitality of a stay in a local house.
Day 4:
Today, your trek of the upland landscape continues, visiting a White H’Mong village, and journeying on to the waterfall at Nam Sai, before heading back to Thanh Phu village and the overnight hospitality of the Tay minority people.
Day 5:
Your last trekking day will sojourn through the lush landscape to a Xa Pho minority settlement, to meet one of Vietnam’s smallest ethnic groups, before trekking uphill to Nam Troong for lunch in a Red Dao school. Your walk then descends to Lavie Waterfall, for a swim, before arriving at the Tay village of Ban Ho, where you’ll be picked up for the drive back to Lao Cai and the overnight sleeper to Hanoi.
Day 6:
Arriving at Hanoi Railway station. You’ll be met and driven to your day hotel to freshen up before catching the flight to Dong Hoi, in central Vietnam, where you’ll travel to the Reception Centre of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. After an instruction session, you’ll start your kayaking of the Chay River, paddling down to Tram village to visit the wine cave and enjoy a barbecue dinner, before retiring to your hotel.
Day 7:
Today, you’ll be driven to Tan Hoa village, to begin your hike through the valley, visiting Hung Ton cave and To Mo waterfall and heading uphill to explore Tu Lan cave, where you’ll camp on the river beach at its entrance.
Day 8:
After breakfast, you’ll venture into nearby Hang Kim cave, and continue your hike to Tu Lan dry cave, before trekking back to Tan Hoa, and the afternoon drive to your Phong Nha hotel.
Day 9:
Today, you’ll travel to the vast Phong Nha cave, surrounded by limestone cliffs and primeval forest and penetrate along its underworld river and into its impressive vaults. you’ll be driven to Dong Hoi for the overnight train back to Hanoi.
Day 10:
Arriving at Hanoi railway station, you’ll be met and driven to your day hotel for breakfast, with time to freshen up before the drive to the coast and board your junk for your cruise of Hạ Long Bay. Sailing through its spectacular forms, you’ll visit a cave and ejoy swimming and kayaking a hidden lagoon, spending the night in your cabin onboard.
Day 11:
Your cruise continues, visiting a floating village and pearl farm, before returning to the mainland at around noon, where you’ll be met and driven back to your Hanoi hotel.
Day 12:
Your time will be free until your driver takes you to the airport for your onward or departure flight.
