Peninsula Malaysia Sonata 12 days

TOUR PROGRAMME

Day 1:
Arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel, with the remainder of the day to relax or wander the city.

Day 2:
A morning guided tour of the major cultural and historic sights of the capital provides a comprehensive overview of the city, with the afternoon free to explore and enjoy the city further at your leisure.

Day 3:
Today you’ll be driven north of the city to the Cameron Highlands, famed for its cooler air, tea plantations and British colonial legacy, visiting a teahouse before arriving at Tanah Rata and your hotel, with the rest of the day free to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
 
Day 4:
A visit to a tea plantation explores the whole process of quality tea production, with an opportunity to sample various teas, with visits to the rose garden, butterfly farm and a nearby fruit and vegetable market other features of the day.


Day 5:
Today you’ll travel further north through the countryside along the Simpang Pulai highway, with a stop at Kuala Kangsar to visit the magnificent Ubudiah Mosque and the former palace of the Sultan of Perak. A futher stop at the Bukit Mera Laketown Resort to visit the Orang Utan Island, and offers a rare chance to meet these exotic creatures, before travelling over the 13 km bridge to Penang and your Georgetown hotel.

Day 6:
Today, you’ll have a guided tour of attractions in Penang, including the Koo Kongsi Clan House, the reclining Buddha at Wat Chayamangkalaram, Pinang Peranakan Mansion, the ‘lost’ fortress, and the unique Peranakan culture.

Day 7:
Your time will be free until your driver takes you to the airport for your flight to Kuala Terengganu on the peninsula’s east coast and check-in to your hotel, with the remainder of the day free at your leisure to enjoy the town and beach.

Day 8:
After breakfast, you’ll board a speed boat to Pulau Redang, an island renowned for its poder white sand beaches and crystalline waters, where you’ll check-in to your hotel for your stay.

Day 9:
Your time is free to enjoy the delights of this tropical island in your own style.

Day 10:
Leaving the island, you’ll travel to the mainland for your flight to Malacca, with time to wander after check-in, before an evening Trishaw ride of Old Malacca.

Day 11:
A guided tour of Malacca visits the beautiful city’s major attractions, exploring its extraordinary and complex historical past through the fluctuating control of several colonial powers, and colourful local influences.

Day 12:
Your time will be free until your driver arrives to take you to Kuala Lumpur airport for your onward of departure flight.
